The SciFried is a new community news portal dedicated to the world of science fiction, fantasy, and anything else that we deem supernatural and other-worldy entertainment. Our mission statement is three-fold and includes bringing you featured articles from our team of writers with fun, entertaining, and opinionated viewpoints; the latest news from across the web in television, movies, games, and even comic books and novels; and finally a great community of fans (that's you!) to discuss, debate, and otherwise share in your love of this great and ever-expanding genre.
Our featured article area of the site will focus mostly on science fiction and fantasy as it relates to Television, Movies, Video Games, and Books & Comics. With that said we will occasionally feature articles outside of these categories, including original short stories and web related media. Our goal in writing these featured articles is nothing more than to entertain you, engage you, and to get you to tell us what you think. These pieces will be heavily opinionated, and as such you may often find yourselves disagreeing with us, and that's great. That's what we want you to do. Tell us what you think. Just don't be upset if we defend our opinions...after all, they are opinions. So be respectful and nice, but feel free to say what you want! Discussion is good.
Science Fiction news of all kinds runs rampant across the web. It is our goal to make sure you stay up-to-date on all the latest science fiction news and the great sites that bring us that news. The latest news will be divided into the categories of Television, Movies, Video Games, and Books & Comics.

I know the odds of survival for a young man in my position are considered to be quite high. The odds for a man my age? Considerably lower. Somewhere in the area of one in one million, I imagine.
I can’t help but picture one million men—all decked out in the same preposterously bulky suits—stretched out alongside me, trailing out for mile... |
