It looks like John Cusack is going to be Edgar Allen Poe in a movie adaptation of THE RAVEN. Of course it can't be that faithful of an adaptation, because the raven is way too short a poem and takes place in a single room from beginning to end. Though this movie DOES sound pretty good. "The story is set in the last five days of Poe's life in which he is forced to partner with a detective in search of a serial killer who has kidnapped Poe's fiancé and has gone on a spree of murders that mimics the author's work." I'm on board with this. I love John Cusack. I love Edgar Allen Poe. And the premise of this movie is intriguing. I'm excited to see how they…

This news tidbit is far from new, and is just a small piece of the hordes of information that came out of Comic Con this year.  But, since this site didn't technically exist at the time, you'll have to cut us some news-slack, and this is far too cool to not post anything about it. So here goes, at the Quantum Leap panel (titled "A Leap of Faith—A Quantum Leap Retrospective") with Scott Bakula at this year's Comic Con, it was announced that a Quantum Leap movie IS in the works, with original creator Donald P. Bellisario writing it.  However, he quickly informed the excited fans that he was too old to play Sam Beckett. “The good news is that Don is working on the film script and has a…

I Spit On Your Grave is a delightfully charming flick from the late 70s.  It is a story Jennifer Hills who goes down by the lake to write a book and ends up being rape bait for a couple of hillbillies.  Then she manages to escape and comes back to kill them.  And the worst part is that they rip up her manuscript.  Those bastards.  The real moral of the story is that it is being remade.  Stephen R Monroe is directing this remake and as far as I can tell it is the same story. Who doesn't love horrible rape, revenge stories involving hillbillies.  Apparently the stand the test of time.  Plus we get to see a new poster with a girl with a big ol' booty.  Here's the…

Its says not to, but it made me a little afraid...Don't Be Afraid of the Dark hit the web in trailer form the other day and I have to admit, it scared me a little bit.  Granted it was late, late at night, I took some painkillers, and I'm pretty damn sure my house is haunted.  But forget about all that junk.  This film drops January 21, 2011 and is directed by Tory Nixey, produced by Guillermo Del Toro and co-written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins. Also, on a minor note, it proves that Katie Holmes has not been fully brainwashed by Scientologists or Tom Cruise and is, in fact, still acting.  Or perhaps, the monsters in this film are actually the things controlling the Scientologists or are inside…

I was like everyone else who cried, “WTF???” when it was announced that Seth Rogen was going to be the Green Hornet in the upcoming remake. I mean, seriously, has he ever played anything but an out of shape stoner? Then I saw him after his physical conditioning and I was like, wow, he’s serious about this. I still wasn’t convinced, but I respected him for the dramatic change in his lifestyle for the role. Then I saw images Green Hornet’s car, Black Beauty, and I felt the first quivering of excitement in the pit of my stomach. Now Sony has released these official stills of the film and I’m convinced: Seth Rogen could very well pull this sonuvabitch off! THE GREEN HORNET tells the story of Britt Reid (Rogen),…

I haven’t had too much to say on the new X-MEN movie, mostly because I was confident that it would be yet ANOTHER movie about Magneto and Wolverine- as if three of those weren’t enough. 4 if you could that shitty Wolverine spin-off and now a probably shittier Magneto one that is still in the works. With X-MEN: FIRST CLASS producers are approaching the franchise from a new direction. Think ULTIMATE X-MEN, but ya know…movies. Last week it was announced that James McAvoy (WANTED) was cast as a much younger Professor X. This actually made me sit up and start paying attention to this film. I love James McAvoy in everything he’s in. He’s a great actor and he takes every part he is given and really makes it his…

After much too long of a wait, we finally have a trailer for the next CHRONICLES OF NARNIA movie. It looks like we can throw cannon out the window at this point because I saw a couple WTF’s, but it still looks like a pretty epic. Get ready to feel old because those Pevencie kids have shot up like roots over the last few years. Enjoy.

While I’m not thrilled with the idea of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, seeing this has sparked new hope at the prospect of this movie. We have an official costume thanks to Scifi Wire down below! But it’s not clear on if this is the modern suit or a WWII era costume. There’s no word yet on whether the outfit in these images is strictly from Cap’s World War II era, but we’re guessing that’s the case and that we have yet to see a modernized version. I like the costume, and would be okay if this is the modern version. I think it has a more realistic and militaristic style. Tell me those Nazi bastards didn’t shit themselves when they saw this guy bearing down on them with the…

If you didn’t watch the MTV movie awards, then you’re a lot smarter than I am. What? I like Aziz Ansari! HUMAN GIANT was the shit, I don’t care what anyone says.  Anyway, if you didn’t watch it you missed out on a crapload of retarded stuff, but you also missed out on the trailer for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS; which was epic, so suck it! Luckily, I’m a sharer and posted it below. Enjoy!

My Eyes Fall Gently Shut
It’s strange the things you think about in the end. I know the odds of survival for a young man in my position are considered to be quite high. The odds for a man my age? Considerably lower. Somewhere in the area of one in one million, I imagine. I can’t help but picture one million men—all decked out in the same preposterously bulky suits—stretched out alongside me, trailing out for mile...
